With Gassho,

Here at Seattle Choeizan Enkyoji Nichiren Buddhist Temple we have been working very hard expounding the Lotus Sutra and the teachings of Nichiren Shonin to all the people of Washington State.

As a very active sangha, we attend many interfaith gatherings, public events and local festivals to promote Nichiren Shu Buddhism and teach people about it.

We also have the goal of offering the first Nichiren Buddhist daycare in the United States, to educate children in Buddhist values.

It is our wish that our temple become a model for temples outside of Japan and become self-sustaining financially, thus encouraging a greater propagation of Nichiren Shu Buddhism.

However, our current space has become much too small and a larger facility in a safer neighborhood will allow our sangha to grow. The Board of Directors and temple supporters were concerned about this problem and held a meeting in which it was decided that we need to act quickly to realize this goal.

We are still a small sangha and moving to a larger location and startup expenses are beyond our present financial capabilities.

We respectfully solicit your support, and through your kind donations, Choeizen Enkyoji Temple may realize this dream.

We humbly accept contributions in the amount $250.00, $500.00, $1,000 and above. In appreciation, Cederman Shonin will place a kifuda (wooden plaque displaying donor’s name) for each donor in a place of honor and pray every day for a year. Cederman Shonin will also pray to empower your prayers of request.

Donations less than $250.00 are appreciated and will receive daily prayers, but will not receive the kifuda.
